Household Survey – housing need and the Village Design Statement

You should shortly be receiving a survey form which is being posted to every home in the parish.  We’re working with Surrey Community Action to undertake an assessment of affordable housing need in the parish.  It may be for example, that you have older children looking to move out but who cannot afford to do so, or that you are looking to downsize but there are no suitable properties.

At the moment we are simply assessing need, and until we know the outcome of the survey we cannot determine what, if any, future development might be needed by local people.

Alongside this we are updating the Village Design Statement so now is a good opportunity, if you haven’t already seen it, to take a look.  It provides guidance on the type and style of development favoured by local residents and should be taken into account when making a planning application. To see it, click here (or ParishCouncil-Village Design Statement)

If you would prefer to complete the survey electronically then please click on https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Frensham

The survey will be open until midnight on the 21st October 2016. If you have any questions then please contact Louise Williams, Rural Housing Enabler on 01483 447141 or email louisew@surreyca.org.uk

PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY. THE INFORMATION IT WILL PROVIDE, NOT JUST ON HOUSING, WILL BE IMPORTANT FOR PLANNING FUTURE FACILITIES IN THE PARISH. THANK YOU.
