FRENSHAM PARISH ANNUAL ASSEMBLY WED 12 APRIL – 7.30PM – MARINDIN HALL

As we mentioned in the last post, the Parish Annual Assembly is one of the few opportunities that residents have to ask questions informally of parish councillors (and, if present, our Waverley and Surrey councillors) and to raise in public any topical local issues.  We are therefore intending this year, on a trial basis, to have a discussion forum rather than a keynote speaker.

We are aware of some village organisations whose objectives and activities might not be widely known or understood.  We would therefore like to give them an opportunity to make short presentations on their work in the community.  Several have already responded to our earlier notice, but more would be welcome.

If you would like to speak (5 mins max), please contact our Parish Clerk, Kate Shipton (clerk@frensham-pc.gov.uk), with a copy to Dick Beales (richard.beales8@btinternet.com) by the end of March if possible.

The agenda for the evening will be as follows:
1.  Approve the minutes of the previous Assembly (13.04.16)
2.  Charities Report 2016
3.  Chairman’s Annual Report 2016/17 – available to view on this website from Saturday 8th April 2017
4.  Reports from village organisations, societies and clubs
5.  Public discussion forum

Following the meeting, all are invited to join us for a glass of wine.

We will endeavour to post the Chairman’s Annual Report 2016/17 on the Council website by Saturday 8th April so that you can see what the Council has been up to over the past 12 months, and what challenges it faces in 2017/18.

We look forward to seeing you there. The more people that turn up, the more productive the discussion is likely to be.
