Household enquiry forms have been sent to every address in Waverley. Completing the form is required by law and ensures you are registered to vote and applies to all types of local elections, referendums and parliamentary elections. Registering to vote can also improve your credit rating.
This year, out of the 54,000 Waverley residents contacted, more than half have chosen the simple option of completing their forms online.
Waverley Borough Council Chief Executive and Returning Officer, Tom Horwood, said: “We have had a great response so far, and we are pleased so many residents are choosing to complete the online form which is quick and easy. There are still 20,000 outstanding households who are yet to get in touch and we urge them, where possible, to do so online.”
Those who can’t respond online can also respond via the Freephone number or by text.
