Waverley residents urged to have their say about parks and greenspaces

Residents of Waverley are, once again, being given the opportunity to let Waverley Borough Council know how well the borough’s parks and greenspaces are being maintained – and be in with the chance of winning £200 worth of gardening vouchers by having their say!
The Greenspaces Survey 2019 seeks to find out how well the council is performing in areas such as grass cutting, cleanliness of parks, play areas and greenspaces in general.
Councillor David Beaman, Waverley Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, said: “We are lucky to have an abundance of green spaces in Waverley and want to ensure they are all maintained to a high standard so the community can enjoy them to the fullest. It’s vital that we get residents’ opinions on how well we’re managing this so I would urge residents to have their say and let us know how we’re doing.”
Waverley Borough Council manages 2.3 million square metres of green space across the borough and earlier this year, eight of its fantastic parks and greenspaces were recognised by the Green Flag Award scheme as some of the best in the world.
